Welcome to Mitawa Property Owner's Association. MPOA is located in unincorporated Elgin, Illinois, two miles west of Randall Road. It consists of 69 properties, all single family homes each on approximately an acre or larger lot. The subdivision was established in 1978.

The POA maintains community walking paths alongside the south side of the subdivision. The pathway is situated in a re-established prairie and alongside Bowes Creek. The subdivision is full of mature trees and is located alongside Bowes Creek Golf Course and near Otter Creek Forest Preserve. Our tranquil location is welcoming to wildlife such as hummingbirds, song birds, deer, squirrels, and more.

Mitawa Properties are served by both St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 and School District U-46. The properties are also a part of the Gail Borden Library District with local branches nearby on Bowes Road in Elgin and on McLean Boulevard in South Elgin. Elgin Township Highway Department maintains our roads and offers brush pickup during the Spring and Fall months.
